Teaching our students organic farming is a means for transforming their levels of insight. In order to further enrich their outlook in relation to environmental issues, on Wednesday, 12 June 2013, TLF took the Batch 16 students on a field trip to Yayasan Bambu Indonesia in Cibinong near Bogor and to the Trashion workshop of Ibu Yanti in Pasar Minggu , Jakarta.

The last week of May 2013 was a very busy week for TLF students. Aside from attending to their daily routines at the farm, they also gained some additional knowledge and skills by participating in a number of different activities. On Wednesday, 29 May 2013, our students received first aid training from the Cianjur branch of PMI. They learnt about basic first aid theory, basic life rescue processes, and caring for wounds. They also practiced techniques related to each of these areas and developed some essential skills for their present and future lives. This training was also attended by Pak Hendri from Maleber Tea Plantation.

After two years of inactivity, the TLF alumni program recommenced in early 2013 under the sponsorship of AVIVA. We have returned to the ideas underpinning the initial formation of the alumni community in early 2007 with the long term benefit and sustainability of graduates being its main focus.

To help our students in assessing their personalities and potentials, the owner of Perfect10 Personality, Indri Hafsari, came to deliver a training module about Self Awareness on Wednesday, 15 May 2013.

Our Learning Farm program keeps running for the Batch 16 students who started on 29 April 2013. A series of training and learning programs continue to be conducted through to 27 July 2013 to empower them with many different skills. The first week of June was filled with 2 valuable activities.

Having a healthy life style is vital for a happy and successful future. As we know, our future depends on how we live today. For this reason, The Learning Farm invited the team from Yayasan Cinta Anak Bangsa (YCAB) to deliver a program on Wednesday, 8 May 2013 that outlined a number of life style issues to our Batch 16 students. Topics included issues relating to the usage of Tobacco, Alcohol and other Drugs; Healthy Relationships; HIV/AIDS awareness; and the problems associated with Free Sex.
